We've included the --local option for our manual updating command with Aanval 9 that allows users to locally provide the update package that Aanval will use.
First, you will need to obtain an Aanval download package, you can do so from the Aanval website by registering and logging in.
The name of the package must be: "aanval-9-latest-stable.tar.gz"
Once you have obtained this package, copy this package without alteration of naming convention or content to the root directory of your Aanval installation. ie: if Aanval is installed in /var/www/html, then you would copy the download package into the /var/www/html directory.
Performing the update
Updating Aanval using a local package is similar to other update mechanisms, simply add the --local option to trigger Aanval into looking for a local update package rather than checking the Aanval internet version and download servers.
From your Aanval installations /bin/ directory, run the following command:
php console aanval:update --local
If your package is properly named and placed in the root directory of your Aanval installation, the update process will be performed. Errors will be displayed should you not have the proper naming convention or location of the package.
